In terms of height and weight, the biggest bird in the world is the ostrich, which is usually about 9 feet tall. However, because ostriches don’t fly, they don’t come in first place when it comes to being the bird with the biggest wings. The bird with the largest wingspan(size of wings from tip to tip) is the Wandering Albatross. The wingspan of most Wandering Albatrosses is about 10 feet, but some have been known to be as large as 12 feet. The tallest grown-ups you know are probably about 6- feet tall, so this bird’s wings are about twice as big across as a really big grown-up is tall! (14 years ago)
