Because most of you answered friendship, I would go for love As we get old, we get matured and there would come a time where in we felt like everybody is changing and moving. The friends we once had are no longer available when we needed them because they have their own things to do or family to raise. We need a special someone to share our life and dreams with. I dont know if I get the question correctly, I just relate my answer to their replies  (13 years ago)
